- Check the Fiber Content First
100% cotton is the go-to choice. Egyptian or Pima are the softest, most durable options. Cotton/polyester blends are cheaper and wrinkle less, but they have a synthetic feel.
- Consider the Thread Count
300 – 500 thread counts are the sweet spots for softness and strength. Although you can find quality, 200-thread-count sheets, they may not be as comfortable.
- Know the Difference Between Weaves
Percale is a basic, grid-like weave that feels light and crisp. Sateen feels silky smooth.
- Be Sure the Sheets Will Fit Your Mattress
Standard sizes don’t account for mattress depth. Make sure to measure before you buy.
